My Trip to TNNA Market in San Diego

Hi everyone!  I can’t wait to fill you in on the results of my 2009 shopping expedition.

For starters, San Diego offered a very welcome escape from this harsh Michigan winter!!!!!  The wonderful weather alone would have made the trip special.  However, once inside the 2009 market convention center I was thrilled to discover many new things I could bring back for my needlepoint enthusiasts.

I had no trouble adding to our already large selection of threads. ( Well, actually the trouble is where to display more threads.  Oh well, worries for another day like when they arrive in store!….ahhhh details.)  Anyway the first new thread addition was an easy pick from Threadworx.  Their new Italian, overdye wool boasts 42 beautiful color combinations.     The second new thread addition is Kreinik’s trim, both with and without wire, in all of their newer color choices.

A further find was an addition for The Needleworks accessory department. We now carry Stirling leather products in their very affordable and bright color selections.  These products offer a fun way to display or to gift one’s needlepoint.

Next canvases were ordered from over thirty artists some of which are tried and true and best enjoyed by our customers.  Two new artists’ work will also be introduced, that of Barbara Bergensten and Sandy Grossman.   Further, The Needleworks will be offering Elizabeth Bradley kits from The United Kingdom.

There are many new items well-suited for the youngest people in our lives such as night light kits and picture frames to needlepoint.

For Melissa Shirley fans, there are 2 new groupings of candy cane ornaments ( I must make special note that  one is a chocolate grouping)   available as well as two, new, 3-D Christmas boot canvases.

Please check out the new additions in the library sections as well:  Suzy’s Mini Stitches by Suzy Murphy and Beards That I Have Known by Diana Bosworth & Kamee Cumbie.  We also have 6 new, wonderful, alphabet books in stock.

I invite everyone to stop in and  check things out as arrivals will be coming in weekly.  I will try to get some photos of the new canvases that are arriving posted here soon.

And remember that every day at The Needleworks is a day to play!

Joyous Stitching everyone!

Francine
